What are the fees for using Palindrome?

Creating escrows, depositing funds, confirming delivery, cancelling, and opening disputes cost gas only. A 1% service fee is charged on successful withdrawals. Gas fees go to network validators, not Palindrome. No hidden costs or subscriptions.

How does the dispute resolution process work?

Either party can open a dispute. Both parties submit evidence. An independent Arbiter reviews the evidence and makes an impartial decision. Funds are released based on the Arbiter's decision. The Arbiter has no access or control over escrowed funds.

How are Arbiters selected?

The Arbiter is set when the escrow is created and is optional. You can set your own arbiter (e.g., a lawyer, mediator, or trusted third party). Without an arbiter, only mutual cancellation is available. Palindrome Pay does not act as an arbiter.

Our smart contracts undergo rigorous internal code reviews and security tests. We audited using Slither, an open-source static analysis framework for Solidity. Our smart contract code is open source for community review.

Palindrome supports MetaMask, WalletConnect-compatible wallets (Trust Wallet, Rainbow, etc.), Coinbase Wallet, and any EVM-compatible wallet.

How do I create my first escrow?

Accepted Answer

Connect your wallet, click Sell in Escrow, enter the buyer's wallet address, set title and amount in USDT, optionally add an arbiter and delivery period, then create the escrow. The buyer can then fund it.

Can I cancel an escrow after it's created?

Accepted Answer

Before deposit, simply don't fund it. After deposit, either party can request cancellation; it takes effect as soon as the other party agrees. If the seller does not respond, the buyer can force Cancel by Timeout once the delivery period expires — this requires an arbiter to be set. Disputed escrows cannot be cancelled. Cancelled escrows get a full refund minus gas fees.

What if the seller doesn't deliver?

With an arbiter set, you can open a dispute for review, or request cancellation and — if the seller does not respond — force Cancel by Timeout once the delivery period expires. Without an arbiter, only mutual cancellation is available. No platform fees are charged on refunds.
